APC revises Price across all Products

APC by Schneider Electric has announced a price increase across all its products as an outcome of the depreciating value of the rupee and the constant increase in costs of key commodities, transportation and freight. The increase is expected to be between 3-10% per cent across the product portfolio, depending on the SKU's form, size and usage of raw material.

This year, price increase has been observed across multiple industries due to huge impact made by the steep 18-20% depreciation of the rupee in the last four months and 30-50% inflation in the cost of commodities such as lead, copper and steel over the last 15 months. Power conditioning industry has been no exception, and many players have been forced to increase prices as early as January 2011.

Shrinivas Chebbi, Country General Manager and Vice President - India, APC by Schneider Electric said, "Uninterrupted power is the nerve of all mission critical applications, and for a trusted player like APC to be able to maintain its superiority in technology and world-class products, we are now forced to pass on a small percentage of our input costs to our customers. I am confident our customers will continue investing in our solutions which ultimately optimizes total cost of ownership through its cutting-edge, energy efficient technology."
