CanvasM & Tata DOCOMO Collaborate For 'Saral Rozgar'

Canvas M has launched its service "Saral Rozgar" with Tata DOCOMO. It is a mobile VAS solution from Canvas M targeted at providing utility based services to bottom of the pyramid, the blue-collar job segment.

Using this service, a blue collar job hunter will be able to create resumes and apply for jobs through their mobile handsets over a simple human assisted voice call by dailing a short code 541410 using their TATA DOCOMO number. On the other hand the service lets a Job Provider access this pool of registered Job seekers over WEB (www.saralrozgar.com) or voice & employ a blue collar job worker matching their requirement & criteria. The service also enables both the parties to connect with each other by simple click of button on mobile. To access this service, Tata DOCOMO subscribers will only pay Rs 10 for 10 days with 25 free minutes of free browsing. A top up option of Rs 5 for 12 minutes can also be availed.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
