D-Link has made plans, to establish itself as a prominent player in IP Surveillance domain with the view that the current technology trend in Surveillance space & some of the recent market reports suggest that, IP video surveillance equipment market globally was estimated to be at over $800 million in 2010-11 & over $45 million in India alone. As per industry estimates the market is forecasted to grow at a CAGR of 30.2% approximately over the next five years and is likely to be worth over $3 billion by 2015 globally.

Tushar Sighat, CEO, D-Link (India) Limited said, "IP video surveillance is a key business tool for ensuring smooth operations, general security, preventing loss & controls mischievous activity. It is steadily emerging as one of the most compelling investment areas, creating a whole new market for networking resellers and integrators. However at present a very small number of the Networking partners in India are focused on surveillance segment. This can be attributed to various reasons like lack of expertise and know how on surveillance solutions design, implementations and other technical knowledge etc. Therefore, there is enormous opportunity for all networking partners as well as vendors that is still to be explored, and in-turn add to their revenues & at the same time be part of the new age technology growth."

Sanjay Sehgal, AVP - Enterprise Business, D-Link, said, "Channel partners are already providing varied networking solutions to their customers like routing, switching, cabling etc. So for them it is just about taking that extra step & start offering IP surveillance solution to the same customer. While we will work with our existing partner base, we are also exploring tie-ups with partners and System Integrators for exclusive business partnerships. D-Link will extend its support to these partners in terms of adequate training to help them understand various aspects of Surveillance solution selling and other assistance needed from time to time. Our plan is to garner 40% of the market share in next couple of years & position D-Link amongst top three Surveillance brands in the country."
