Essar Group implements Citrix Desktop virtualization Solution

Essar Group has announced Desktop virtualization implementation with Citrix. The solution utilizes a building-block approach which can then scale to thousands of virtual desktops delivering application to any device in any workplace environment, supporting a rich user experience, and provides IT with additional security and control.

Essar group plans to move its' 90 -95 percent workforce to Citrix XenDesktop platform and aims to complete implementation of virtual desktops for 40000 users in the next one Year. The implement of Citrix XenDesktop is aimed to strengthen Essar's Governance and Compliance by giving the capability to monitor, manage and restrict the applications on the VDI. The Group also plans to roll out the Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix NetScaler solutions across the globe. Citrix XenDesktop and Citrix NetScaler with on-demand application delivery is expected to save the company more than 40% in desktop computing costs by enabling easy, centralized management of desktops and applications and reducing the need to refresh expensive hardware.
