Gartner positions NetApp in the Leaders quadrant

NetApp has been positioned by Gartner, Inc., in the Leaders quadrant for midrange and high-end modular disk arrays.

In a recently released research note, "Magic Quadrant for Midrange and High-End Modular Disk Arrays," Gartner asserts, "Vendors in the Leaders quadrant have the highest scores for their ability to execute and completeness of vision. A midrange and high-end modular disk array storage vendor in the Leaders quadrant has the market share, credibility, and marketing and sales capabilities needed to drive the acceptance of new technologies. These vendors demonstrate a clear understanding of market needs; they are innovators and thought leaders; and they have well-articulated plans that customers and prospects can use when designing their storage infrastructures and strategies. In addition, they have a presence in the five major geographical regions, consistent financial performance and broad platform support. "

Chris Cummings, VP, Product & Solutions Marketing, NetApp said, "IT leaders around the world are undertaking major initiatives to enable their organizations to accelerate growth, respond to unpredictable changes, and improve competitive advantage. NetApp is the only vendor that today delivers optimized solutions for the widest range of applications, including traditional business applications, virtualization, and technical computing all from a single architecture. Customers today are accelerating and simplifying their transition to private, public, and hybrid cloud models that are built on NetApp's advanced storage and data management technologies. We believe our strong position in the Gartner Leaders quadrant is powerful recognition of the flexibility, efficiency, and scalability that our rich portfolio of solutions delivers to enable customers to achieve exceptional business outcomes."
