HID Global showcases its Products @ IFSEC India 2011

HID Global has announced that it is delivering innovative products and solutions from 8th to 10th December at IFSEC India 2011. The company will showcase its new readers and credentials as part of HID's iCLASS SIO-Enabled (SE) access control platform that is based on the company's new, portable identity model for advanced security and increased mobility. The new, portable identity model revolutionizes the implementation of high security readers and credentials enabling the use of digital credentials on mobile devices.

HID Global will also showcase a variety of solutions for physical access, logical access and secure issuance at Hall 18, booth #A160 at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. During the seminar sessions of IFSEC 2011, HID Global will present "Next Generation of Access Control Platform - Embedding Identities on NFC-enabled Smartphones".

Ranjit Nambiar, Director - Sales, South Asia with HID Global, will illustrate the company's latest Secure Identity Object technology for embedding identities into mobile devices on Saturday, December 11, 2011, from 11:00 -11:30 a.m. at Hall 18, Pragati Maidan. A university pilot that showcases the benefits of using NFC smartphones for opening doors at universities and other campus environments at Arizona State University (ASU) will also be broadcasted at the seminar.

IFSEC India 2011 attendees who visit HID Global's booth and complete a customer contact form will receive a free gift. In addition, those who participate in a quiz on HID's next-generation iCLASS SIO-Enabled (SE) platform will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win exciting prizes.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
