HP rolls out Services for Microsoft Windows Azure Platform

HP has announced new applications services designed to accelerate the building or migration of applications to the Microsoft Windows Azure platform.

With the new HP Cloud Applications Services for Windows Azure, applications developers can quickly design, build, test and deploy applications for the Windows Azure platform. The services also enable clients to accelerate adoption of the Windows Azure platform as part of their hybrid service delivery environments.

Additionally, clients can manage risk and optimize IT resources with a methodical approach to assessing, migrating and developing applications on the Windows Azure platform. With usage-based pricing for the platform, clients also can align IT costs with changes in demand and volumes.

Marshal Correia, Director, Enterprise Services, HP India, said, "As their needs shift, enterprises want to confidently and rapidly adopt cloud-based applications. HP helps clients speed time to market by transforming or developing new applications, then efficiently and cost-effectively deploying them onto the Windows Azure platform."

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
