Infosys to announce 3Q Results Next Month

Infosys has revealed that it will announce results for its third quarter ending December 31, 2011 on January 12, 2012. Indian Standard Time (IST) (on the night of Wednesday, January 11, 2012, US Eastern Time (ET)).

Following the release, Infosys' CEO & Managing Director, S. D. Shibulal, Member of the Board & CFO, V. Balakrishnan, and other members of the senior management will comment on the company's performance. There will be a common television address by S. D. Shibulal and V. Balakrishnan at 10:00 a.m. IST on business television channels. This will be followed by a detailed discussion on CNBC-TV 18 as part of its 'Boardroom' series from Bangalore at 10:15 a.m. IST on January 12, 2012 (this will not be telecast in the US).

Highlights of the results will be made available to mobile phone users in India through SMS. Results on SMS will be available after 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
