Intel designs Blueprint for Ultrabook

Intel has designed a blueprint for Ultrabooks which mean, among other things, they are more zippy than the computer one is probably using right now. So switching to an Ultrabook will mean user will spend less time waiting for their PC to catch up with them in 2012.

2012 is being called the Year of the Ultrabook. In a nutshell, Ultrabooks are a new breed of device, inspired by Intel, which combine the best features of a PC in a package which is thinner, lighter and more responsive, all without breaking that that other popular resolution to "save more".

Ultrabooks are powered by Intel Core processors, so they have the power of a full PC, but they use a special chip which only sips power, so your battery lasts longer and you can stay on the go, and use your notebook like it was intended, for longer. Ultrabooks also take advantage of a bright idea called Intel Turbo Boost technology. Just like the turbo in your car, this provides a short burst of computing power only when it is needed, allowing the chip to conserve power when it is not.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
