Kingston organizes SSD challenge

Kingston Technology has held an SSD Challenge in Hyderabad early this month to showcase the features of their SSDNow product line. The challenge, called the SSDNow Challenge, was a move to challenge tech enthusiasts in India's tech hub to test their HDDs against Kingston's SSDNow products.

There were two different test rounds, Speed Test and Death Match held for participants. Speed test round tested boot up time, or opening up different applications at a single time, whereas Death Match round challenged participants to drop their HDD and the Kingston SSDNow from a height of 5 feet. On winning both the challenge rounds, a participant could walk away with a free SSD.

Vishal Parekh, Marketing Director, Kingston Technology, India, said, "The SSD Challenge was an enjoyable and innovative way to showcase to consumers the undeniable superiority of the SSD over the HDD. We wanted to showcase to tech aficionados the impressive performance, speed, durability and importance - value for money that SSDs bring to the table. We strongly believe that soon SSD technology will prove to become the technology of the future."

The SSDNow Challenge was organized at three different venues in Hyderabad - Cyber Gateway, Ananth Technologies Ltd. and Cyber Pearl with over 1,200 attendees at the venues.
