Nvidia signs deal with TEDA

Huang Jen-hsun, President and CEO, Nvidia has signed up with Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) to establish the R&D center of automotive information/entertainment electronic modules based on Tegra processors through partnership with Taiwan-based Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry), according to industry sources in Taiwan.

According to sources, Foxconn's factories in TEDA is said to undertake OEM production of such electronic modules.


This is Nvidia's fourth R&D center in Asia following one in Shanghai, one in Shenzhen and one in Taipei, the sources pointed out. Nvidia has won adoption of Tegra-based automotive modules from Audi and Tesla Motors, the sources shared.
