Salora Zapper-3G Data Card introduced

Salora International Ltd has introduced 'Salora Zapper-3G Data Card', which claims to support download speeds up to 7.2Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.76Mbps.

Anil Chandna, Business Head -IT products, Salora International said, "Compatible with every GSM network available, the 'Salora Zapper 3G Data Card' is bound to become a revolution in the data card market and will provide the users unbound internet freedom. Providing them with jet speed, the device will make internet more accessible for the users and will provide an option for the consumers to choose their own operators. In continuation of our existing product range, we wish to enhance the user experience thorough this product offering and thus cater to all the consumers who hate to wait."

The 3G Data Card is said to feature Voice Call through GUI, Phonebook and SMS support and Social Networking. Operating on HSPA/UMTS 2100MHz frequency with support for EDGE/GPRS/GSM 850/900/1800/1900MHz, the 'Salora Zapper 3G Data Card' is said to come with an Auto Install Software and supports APN auto management which offers support for Microsoft Windows Vista, XP SP2+ and Mac OSX (10.4.X Intel based CPU). The device claims to offer a high speed USB 2.0 support along with an external memory slot via Micro SD of 32 GB capacity. The 'Salora Zapper 3G Data Card' also comes with an internal antenna and puts in an inbuilt multi color LED status indicator.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
