WD presents WD 2Go

Western Digital has launched My Book Live Personal Cloud Storage that helps users keep their content secure at home and access it from anywhere in the world through a free app - WD 2Go.

The personal cloud storage is enabled by the My Book Live NAS drive that acts as a server and lets users share files and stream media to any device in their home network. WD 2Go is a free remote-access app with a slick interface that works on iOS and Android mobiles and tablets.

My Book Live guarantees complete security of data. Once a user connects the My Book Live to a PC, the drive prompts a firmware upgrade to register for WD 2Go app with a personal email ID. After completing the registration, users can download the app on their handheld devices and are ready to access content stored on the drive from anywhere.

WD 2Go Pro also additionally allows users to save content to their mobile devices and automatically sync new content stored on the My Book Live. It also allows users to email files, share files as a link, print and open files with third-party apps. WD 2Go comes with an additional security layer that locks mobile access to the My Book Live drive with a 4-digit pass code.
