Airtel amplifies HFZ campaign

Bharti Airtel has announced that it is aggrandizing its 'Har Friend Zaroori Hai, Yaar' (HFZ) campaign by rolling out an all-new online viral initiative at its YouTube channel. Created by Taproot, these 20 videos are believed to be influenced by interesting 'friend types' or tags created in a brand activity on Facebook. The company has claimed to periodically release these videos on the Web and use the concept of 'gamification' over the coming weeks.

Bharat Bambawale, Director (Global Brand), Bharti Airtel said, "We have now chosen the most interesting friend tags of this crowd-sourced lot (like 'Status Update Friend, Activist Friend, Dhinchak Friend') to create new HFZ online viral videos."

Viewers are said to be able to view the videos by unlocking 'video levels.' Tagging others and sharing these videos on social networks is supposed to allow them to gather points. It is claimed that they can upload their own 'friend type' video - the grand prize is a Nokia Lumia 800 and a trip to Ibiza, Spain.

The original HFZ soundtrack is now also said to be available in new interpretations including laavni, bhangra, hip-hop and folk.
