HCL Learning announces Nationwide Programme for Educational Institutions

HCL Learning has announced the commencement of the "Learning Conclave for Progressive Schools". The programme has begun from December 2011 and will cover numerous schools, colleges and coaching institutes across various cities across the country. The programme will be activated as specific events in each city wherein representatives from various educational institutions will congregate and discuss on the usage of IT in the field of education. The events will be held in Mumbai, Jaipur, Mysore and Allahabad and also in places like Kurukshetra, Kota, Bhatinda, Bokaro, Mallapuram and Belgaum, Shillong and many others.

The Conclave for Progressive Schools will be spread across three phases. In the first phase, the event would be held in around 100 cities in the first two months ending January 2012. This would be followed by phases two and three ending in April 2012, respectively.

Anand Ekambaram, Sr. Vice-President, HCL Infosystems Ltd. & Head, Learning Business, said, "This is an endeavour on our part to highlight the immense value that IT can add to the field of education. We wish to reach out to educationists across the country and seek their views on this topic. We value the efforts of the education fraternity in creating human capital which is shaping the development of our country. We hope that through the Learning Conclaves we will contribute substantially to further the accessibility of quality education using technology, in the country. We would also build educational content around tablets, so that such devices can be of greater value to students."

In the conclaves, the HCL Learning teams will also showcase the latest IT enablers in the field of education, namely Audio Visuals on Digischool, Demo of Digischool, presentations and interactive e-discussions on My Learn ENG Studio, IMS and accelerate programmes. Also, guests at these conclaves may participate in a contest to win a ME X1TABLET from HCL.
