Honeywell releases Vuquest 3310g
Honeywell has announced the availability of the Vuquest 3310g, an area-imaging scanner. The device is said to combine scanning of virtually any bar code, even on mobile phone screens and digital image capture, plus the integration of Adaptus Imaging Technology 6.0. It is also supposed to incorporate reduced illumination that minimizes the annoyance often associated with the illumination used in area-imaging scanners, without sacrificing scan performance.
Vuquest 3310g is believed to be quickly and easily installed in original equipment manufacturer (OEM) kiosks or price checking systems. In addition, Honeywell's Remote MasterMind for Scanning software option is also said to allow enterprises to update and manage Vuquest 3310g devices deployed across a network from one centralized location. Powered by Honeywell's TotalFreedom 2.0 development platform, the Vuquest 3310g is expected to allow enterprises to expand the functionality of the scanner by developing decoding and formatting plug-ins that can be loaded directly onto the scanner.
Shailesh Deshmukh, Country Manager, Honeywell Scanning & Mobility said, "I am confident that the Vuquest 3310g continues to arm the enterprise with a compact and flexible scanning solution paired with industry-leading Adaptus 6.0 Imaging Technology. With its ability to merge innovative scanning technologies into one versatile device, the Vuquest 3310g showcases Honeywell's position as a global leader in imaging."
