Panasonic unveils Full HD 3D Home Theatre Projectors

Panasonic has launched two new Full HD 3D home theatre projectors PT-AE7000 and PT-AR100 with 1080p (1,920 x 1,080 pixel) resolution. The PT-AE7000 is world's first 3D projector to use transparent LCD panels driven at 480Hz.

PT-AE7000comes with 300,000:1 contrast ratio and 2,000 lumens of brightness. It also uses frame sequential technology for 3D image projection and comes equipped with a built-in 3D transmitter that lets the user enjoy large-screen 3D images with optional eyewear. In addition, the new PT-AE7000 is also an eco-conscious product. Its intelligent power management system reduces the lamp power to the exact required level of brightness depending on the content being displayed. This advanced analysis process reduces the main power consumption by as much as 10 per cent when the Dynamic Iris function is operating,

PT-AR100 features 2,800 lumens of brightness and a 50,000:1 contrast ratio along with seven picture modes for various viewing situations. The PT-AR100 supports VIERA Link that provides seamless operation of multiple VIERA Link compatible Panasonic devices by using the PT-AR100 remote control.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
