Polycom showcases joint customer momentum and advances in Polycom Video Platform Integration with IBM Solutions

Polycom has announced several key initiatives that further its social business strategy, including strong customer momentum with IBM and strategic product updates, such as native integration of Polycom Real Presence video solutions with the recent version of IBM Sametime. The integration of Polycom's video solutions with IBM social business platforms IBM Sametime and IBM Connections helps companies tap into the transformational power of social and web platforms, empowering video calls from within the email and social business interfaces users.

As part of its presence at Lotusphere 2012, Polycom CEO Andrew Miller will present during the Wednesday, January 18th morning General Session Keynote, discussing how industry trends like mobile, social and the cloud coupled with Polycom's vision to make video collaboration ubiquitous are pushing the greatness of human collaboration forward. Miller will also join a panel discussion with Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the Web, and Manoj Saxena, Manager, Watson Solutions, IBM Software Group at IBM. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
