D-Link witnesses 95% YoY Growth in Q3

D-Link has announced the unaudited financial results for third quarter ending 31st December, 2011 at its Board meeting held on 2nd February, 2012.

Tushar Sighat, CEO, D-Link (India) Limited, said, "For the last two quarters, we have witnessed steady growth and our current go-to-market strategy has yielded positive outcome. We have successfully been able to realize our true market potential and deliver substantial sales with 95% growth in this quarter vis-a-vis the same period during last year. The increase in broadband penetration and surge in demand for mobility devices has resulted in good growth from the consumer segment. Further, we witnessed substantial investments being made by government and corporates in building a safe, secure and reliable networking infrastructure, which brought about positive demand for our product line. We also managed to bag some large projects that contributed to the overall revenue. D-Link structured cabling business has also shown positive signs, thereby further adding to the company growth."

Tushar Sighat further said, "Moving ahead, the company will work towards strengthening its position in cabling segment and focus on new technology innovations that will be based on cloud platform, as this trend is inevitable. Hence, going forward, D-Link's product line will be powered by modern technologies and will be more application driven. We are also enhancing our focus on IP Surveillance and lifestyle networking, since it is going to be the next growth wave."

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
