EMC signs MOU

EMC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV). The MoU was announced by Professor Piyush Trivedi, Vice Chancellor, RGPV at a ceremony in the city. The ceremony was attended by Kuncheria P Issac, member-secretary of the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Rajesh Janey, President, EMC India & SAARC Shri Hariranjan Rao Secretary to CM and IT Secretary, Shri Sanjay Singh, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, Professor Arun Nahar, Director Technical Education, among other dignitaries.

As a part of this MoU, EMC will provide RGPV with information and knowledge in the field of Information Storage and Management, Cloud Infrastructure Services, Backup Recovery Systems & Architecture and Data Science and Big Data Analytics to enable RGPV to equip the university with expertise and knowledge in line with the latest industry trends. As part of the collaboration, EMC is committed to organize training for the Faculty of Degree Institutes under the domain of the university, help develop learning material for the courses and guide RGPV in identifying potential placement opportunities to the students who successfully complete the courses.

Rajesh Janey, President, EMC India & SAARC, said, "EMC's academic alliances are cultivating talent globally and we are facilitating collaboration with the best universities and education institutions in the world. In India, this programme has been an astounding accomplishment for EMC with 65,000 trained professionals so far. DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
