Quantum gets new SIA Board of Director

Quantum Secure has announced that Laurie Aaron, Quantum Secure's Vice-President of Business Development and Marketing, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Security Industry Association (SIA).

"SIA is honored to welcome Laurie as a new member of our Board of Directors. Her extensive knowledge of the electronic physical security industry, her interest in facilitating collaboration among industry stakeholders and her forward thinking will help guide SIA's efforts to be a stronger resource to our members and help grow our industry," said Don Erickson, Chief Executive Officer, Security Industry Association (SIA).

Aaron will participate on behalf of Quantum Secure in several SIA working groups and standards initiatives. At Quantum Secure, Aaron oversees corporate marketing initiatives, is responsible for developing Vertical Market Programmes and has been directly responsible for large strategic customers such as the San Francisco Airport, Oracle Worldwide, the Empire State Building and the new World Trade Centre in New York.

"SIA' leadership is a critical component of the continued growth and success of our industry. This appointment represents an opportunity for me to help to guide the future of our industry, and I feel privileged to serve on the SIA Board of Directors," said Aaron.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
