UNET selects Ciena and Telindus-ISIT
Ciena Corporation has announced that the Dutch information and communications services provider UNET has selected Ciena's Carrier Ethernet Solutions (CES) for the expansion and upgrade of its metro and access network. Ciena joined forces with Telindus-ISIT to offer UNET a solution for rolling out scalable, cost-effective service provider services and expand its geographical reach in the Netherlands. The upgrade is said to allow additional customer growth for UNET and support its position as an alternative to traditional telecoms service providers.
