Alok Bharadwaj, Obama among Top 100 Influencers

Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President of Canon India and President MAIT (Manufacturer's Association of IT Industry), has been ranked # 45 on VentureOutsource.com's top 100 influencers in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS ) industry.

The list recognizes service providers, entrepreneurs, executives, politicians, investors and others who are in some way influencing the electronics manufacturing services industry.

Other leaders who made it on the list include: Barack Obama, President, USA; Michael Dell, CEO, Dell; Tim Cook, CEO, Apple, John Chambers of Cisco, Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce and Industry, India, and Dilma Rousseff, President of Brazil.

The portal VentureOutsource.com says about Bharadwaj, "If EMS in India is to get more attention, we feel Bharadwaj is just the person who can get all parties working together and accomplish this"

Talking to VARIndia, Bharadwaj said, "I feel humbled that such a recognition has been conferred on me." He added, "India has all the potential of matching China's manufacturing might."

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery.
