ASIRT Launched

A new era in the IT industry has begun with the launch of ASIRT - Association of System Integrators and Retailers In Technology. IT System Integrators and Retailers have taken a bold new step & make a new beginning for the SI and IT retail community. ASIRT has well defined objectives such as creating a unified SI & retail ecosystem, fostering increased partnering and collaboration, working as a conduit between vendors & SIs and finally being a strong voice for the industry.

ASIRT has already got incredible support within Mumbai's SI & retail community with over 60 online signups. Infact Vendors have praised this initiative & pledged to support this forum fully. Suryanarayanan, Director Sales & Marketing Intel, Arvind K.S. from Tally solutions & ASIRT founder members lit the traditional lamp to kick off the Association's activities.

Kshitij Kotak - part of the ASIRT governing board spoke about the fact that System Builders, System Integrators & IT retailers have been the frontrunners of IT industry & that they touch end customers across all verticals & greatly influence customer buying. But this industry faces numerous hardships & problems such as low margins, reckless price wars, unsustainable fiscal health among many others. Hence it is inevitable that the entire ecosystem needs to be improved to ensure better business Then Chetan Shah announced that ASIRTCONNECT - An online partnering portal will go live soon to enable unparalleled opportunities to this community. ASIRT tech forums kick off from next month as well.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
