HCL has launched their HCL Desktop "Fly for Free" offer for its customers. Customers of HCL desktops can now avail of an attractive offer of winning a completely free air ticket to major destinations in India. In addition, customers can also avail of a free Wizpack worth Rs.10,000 which includes CBSE Syllabus-based education content for Classes 1 to 12 and a Britannica Student Library.

Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs. Another report also noticed by VARINDIA, Foxconn is also promoting the Sharp TV to start marketing in India, which has kick started from this year IPL(Indian Premiere League) ,with this they are marking a return to a business in India.
