The session brought together the top management across IT-BPO industry in a structured dialogue on the business case for employing disabled people organized with support from Wadhwani Foundation. The Leadership Round Table had participants from key stakeholders; including Infosys BPO, Mphasis, Thomson Reuters, Mahindra Satyam Foundation, DBOI, Goldman Sachs, Fidelity Business; Yahoo, AXA, Happiestmind Technologies, Concentrix, Sonata Software, Firstsource solutions facilitated by Pradeep Gupta (Chairman, NASSCOM Foundation Disability Advisory Group. Chairman Cybermedia) and Swami Swaminathan (CEO and MD, Infosys BPO)

Swami Swaminathan, CEO and MD, Infosys BPO said "We are delighted to be one of the pioneers in diversity initiatives. We strongly believe that an unwavering commitment to engage with a diverse workforce is essential to truly innovate in the workplace of tomorrow. We have therefore been proactively involved in hiring people with disabilities and integrating them into the mainstream. We are very encouraged by the commitment and quality of delivery of this diversified workforce, which positively contributes to our journey of delivering value to our clients."

Rita Soni, CEO, NASSCOM Foundation said, "The IT-BPO companies who are hiring PwDs are doing so with the conviction that diversity will lead to innovation and higher productivity. However only a handful of companies have in place requisite facilities and policies, much of the intervention will need to be directed towards building an inclusive eco- system. This in turn would require a change in mindset at all levels in order for the change to be systemic."

Swami Swaminathan added, "NASSCOM, the representative of the industry, has been championing the cause of a diverse workforce since long, through the NASSCOM Foundation. We in Infosys BPO are delighted to be associated with NASSCOM Foundation in organizing the NASSCOM Leadership Round Table, which focuses on diversity initiatives. We will continue our strong support for such initiatives in the future as well".
