Antec has announced the new mid-tower Solo II - the latest addition to Antec's Sonata line of Quiet Computing enclosures.

Re-designed from the ground-up, the Solo II builds on the Sonata legacy of Quiet Computing by combining the features and performance that enthusiasts demand with the highest standard of build quality. Externally, the SOLO II's dual-layer 1.0 mm SECC / polycarbonate top and side panels absorb noise for sound dampening. To reduce vibration-related noise, the dual hard drive mounting system gives users the option of mounting your hard drives using tray mounts with silicone grommets or the tool-less suspension mount system. SOLO II features an anodized aluminum front bezel and piano black exterior along with washable fan filters and two front panel USB 3.0 ports.

The Solo II features one rear 120mm TrueQuiet fan with preinstalled silicone grommets and 2-speed switch for flexible control of fan speeds to balance cooling and quiet performance.

With the dual-mounting HDD system, eliminating noise using tray mounts with silicone grommets or tool-less suspension mount cables, the Solo II boasts flexibility for a wide-range of builds and assures quiet performance. This Solo II also supports Mini-ITX, microATX and Standard ATX motherboards.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
