SAP rolls out Project Avsar

SAP has launched Project Avsar - an initiative targeted at developing vocational SAP skills and placement assistance for the underprivileged youth. Project Avsar is a SAP vocational training program that will combine a class room and practical / fieldwork based approach to introduce the selected candidates to the business functions of a company and eventually provide them the necessary IT skill-sets to manage business processes using SAP software.

Project Avsar is based on the premise that a short term, practical, skill-oriented vocational training program will provide a strong career foundation and open up several employment opportunities for the underprivileged youth to succeed in the digital era. It provides a basic course to introduce Enterprise Resource Planning - training on SAP Business One solution, covering relevant business processes, workflow navigation, data-entry and usage of management reports.

The courses will be conducted along with SAP partner Clockwork and NGO Partner HOPE foundation, who will provide practical experience in the form of role-plays and an onsite visits to a SAP customers using SAP Business One solution.
