Sify Technologies to sell Stake in MF Global India

Sify Technologies Limited has announced an agreement for sale of their entire stake in MF Global Sify Securities India Pvt Ltd. for an all cash deal.

MF Global Sify Securities India Pvt. Ltd., MF Global Overseas Limited and PhillipCapital Group will buy a majority stake in MF Global Sify Securities India Private Limited according to the terms of the agreement.

The transaction is said to be subject to regulatory and statutory approvals in the respective countries.

Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs. Another report also noticed by VARINDIA, Foxconn is also promoting the Sharp TV to start marketing in India, which has kick started from this year IPL(Indian Premiere League) ,with this they are marking a return to a business in India.
