Sony India has expanded its Walkman MP3 player family with the new NWZ- B170 series (NWZ-B172 and NWZ-B173), believed to deliver the favourite beats in a flashy new design and enhancing the audio experience by simply pressing the BASS Boost button, which is said to assure rich and pumping low-ends.

The new models NWZ-B172 and NWZ-B173 have built-in lithium-ion battery, which is expected to deliver up to 18 hours of music playback and the Quick Charge function delivers 90 minutes of music with just a mere three-minute charge.

The NWZ-B170 Series also claimed to exude fashion chic with four colour choices and a new colour-matching power illuminator, which flashes in sync with the rhythm of the music.

With the NWZ-B170, one does not have to spend hours trying to manage the music, the sleek and simple USB-dongle design - plug it into the Windows PC1, drag and drop the tracks one want, and one is ready to go. Searching through the hundreds of songs on the Walkman is just as easy with Sony's unique ZAPPIN.

DoT Secretary hints at making Draft NTP 2018 available in public domain soon

“A draft National Telecom Policy 2018 that is liberal and non-prescriptive in its licensing approach in Machine to Machine (M2M) communication is being given final touches. The policy should be in the public domain in the next two to three weeks for discussion and responses from stakeholders,” said Aruna Sundararajan, Secretary, Department of Telecom, Ministry of Communications. Aruna Sundararajan said, “M2M is the next big opportunity for India in terms of its impact and the quantum change that it will bring about in the quality of services and delivery. The favourable impact of M2M on job creation had already set in as seen by the arrival of the first set of start-ups in the areas such as agriculture, smart cities, healthcare and water management.” She stressed that NTP 2018 would be transformative in harnessing the full benefits of M2M communications.
