Microsoft declares BizSpark Winners 
The Microsoft BizSpark India StartUp Challenge, in its second year, announced the competition's winner and US$100,000 recipient. The event was marked by an eclectic mix of presentations on entrepreneurial ideas by students and inspiring speeches made by Sharad Sharma, Executive Council Member, NASSCOM; Sanket Akerkar, Managing Director, Microsoft Corporation India (P) Ltd; Joseph Landes, General Manager, Microsoft Corporation India (P) Ltd.; and K. RajnishMenon, Director - ISV & Cloud Strategy, Microsoft Corporation India (P) Ltd.
The speaker sessions covered issues such as igniting the spark of innovation, nurturing the start-up ecosystem, and importance of technological innovations. Following the presentations from participants, the announcement was made to grant the final prize and an audience event, Play to Win!

Rajinish Menon, Director - ISV & Cloud Strategy, Microsoft Corporation India (P) Ltd., said, "Microsoft is committed to fostering an entrepreneurial environment by driving technological innovations. Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs. Another report also noticed by VARINDIA, Foxconn is also promoting the Sharp TV to start marketing in India, which has kick started from this year IPL(Indian Premiere League) ,with this they are marking a return to a business in India. Earlier Sharp was a known brand in terms of technology but it’s position become negligible with the fastest technology and pricing structure of SAMSUNG, LG and Sony.
