ZTE Grand X unveiled in Turkey
ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) has held its global premiere of the ZTE Grand X dual-core 4.3-inch screen smartphone in Turkey, bringing high end mobile video and gaming experiences to a wider audience.
The ZTE Grand X combines an NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core chipset, Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), and a 4.3-inch qHD 16m colour (960 x 540 pixels) screen to deliver a rich mobile multimedia experience, in particular for gaming and video applications. The Grand X also has Mobile HD Link which enables sharing video content on TVs. Audio-visual features include a 5 MP camera, a 0.3 MP front-facing camera for video calls, Dolby Sound, HD Video Capture and HD Voice. The ZTE Grand X launched in Turkey is a 3G model, and is the first in the ZTE Grand series available outside China. The Grand series will include: Grand X for 3G and LTE dual core handsets; Grand Era for 3G and LTE quad-core handsets; and an Intel-powered handset.
He Shiyou, EVP & Head - Terminals Division, ZTE said, “The Grand X has features that make it stand out from the crowd at a price point that will be extremely competitive, putting mid to high-end smartphone capabilities within the reach of millions more people. The global success of the ZTE Blade and Skate Android smartphones over the last 18 months has helped ZTE become the No. 4 handset manufacturer in the world. Our many handsets at the smartphone entry level and now the Grand handsets in the mid and high level of specifications mean ZTE now covers every price and feature level with world-leading handsets at world-beating prices. We continue to build our channel capabilities around the world to deliver ZTE-branded devices to a global audience, and are bringing on new business partners every day. This launch in association with Turkey’s leading handset distributor, KVK, is the first step in the roll-out of this strategic smartphone range across Europe, Asia and the USA.”
