BenQ expands GW Series in India 
BenQ has recently celebrated the official expansion of the GW Series. The new line includes three different models with different connectors: GW (D-Sub; DVI-D); GW/M (D-Sub; DVI-D; Line-In; Headphone Jack); GW/HM (D-Sub; DVI-D; Line-In; Headphone Jack; HDMI). 
The GW/M and GW/HM models are also equipped with built-in speakers (21.5”W with 1Wx2; 24”W/ 27”W with 2Wx2). In addition, each of these models is Microsoft Windows 7 certified for full compatibility with Windows 7 colour systems. Simply connect a GW Series monitor to a Windows 7-equipped computer, and the operating system will instantly recognize the monitor, making set-up effortless.

Japan's Sharp to buy Toshiba PC business for $36 mln

As per the report, Sharp Corporation of Japan to buy Toshiba Corp’s personal computer business for 4 billion yen ($36 million). Sharp brand is under the control of manufacturing giant Foxconn, the world’s biggest contract manufacturer and major Apple Inc supplier, to produce PCs more cheaply – just as it was able to do in TVs. Another report also noticed by VARINDIA, Foxconn is also promoting the Sharp TV to start marketing in India, which has kick started from this year IPL(Indian Premiere League) ,with this they are marking a return to a business in India. Earlier Sharp was a known brand in terms of technology but it’s position become negligible with the fastest technology and pricing structure of SAMSUNG, LG and Sony.
