Facebook is paying Teens $20 per Month to Install 'Facebook Research' App That Collects Private Data - Project Atlas: The social media giant FaceBook was previously gripped for collecting user data data through Onavo Protect, which is a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service that it acquired in 2013, and due to data violation activities, being forced to remove its Onavo VPN app from Apple's App Store. But Facebook is not a bit silent for the same rather it is paying teenagers around $20 a month to use its VPN app that aggressively monitors their smartphone and web activity and then sends it back to Facebook.
